The Dunn's Have Moved!

Wednesday, March 31, 2010

What an exciting year the Dunn's have had! A new baby in the family, a thriving art career for Gina, and now a new house! ...and it's only April - well close enough anyway! I was excited when the Dunn's contacted me to make their moving announcements. They requested something Anthropologie-ish - as in the store that I love oh so much! Needless to say I was much obliged to meet that request. See the "winning" announcement below...

...and I say "winning" because I bombarded them with several options! I'm sure you will eventually see the other options on my site as well. ...maybe when we sell our own house! :)

P.S. The actual announcement had their entire address and phone number. I just didn't think they would like me sharing that information with the world!

Jessica Monnich Wedding Photography

Tuesday, March 30, 2010

So I have to advertise for Jessica for a couple of reasons. First of all, she is an amazing wedding photographer - proof here.

Second of all, she photographed my friends Stacey and Jacob's October wedding and they have been selected as one of ten finalist to receive "Best Wedding of the Year 2009" from The Knot - what an honor!! I encourage you to click here and vote for them. They're definitely deserving!! Such a great wedding and such great photography!

Lastly, Jessica just re-posted the Bachelorette Travel pack I created for Stacey on her blog. If only I had her to take all of my product shots! ;-) Thank you so much for the support, Jessica!

Christiana's Bachelorette Travel Pack - Part Dos!

Thursday, March 11, 2010

I'm finally posting the second part of Christiana's bachelorette travel pack! Christiana spent this past weekend celebrating her final days as a single lady. The plan was to hit 6th street in Austin and visit various bars of various countries - Mexico, Cuba, Ireland, etc. Each page of the passport had a dare printed on it that Christiana was to complete in order to get her passport "stamped." I can't wait to hear how successful she was!

The second, or should I say third part, of the travel pack were Austin maps that I created with the itinerary of the weekend. ...and what a fun weekend they had planned! Spa time, wine tasting, eating, bar hopping - what every bachelorette weekend should be, right?! I printed a map for every person in her bachelorette party crew. I had so, so much fun creating this! It really made me miss Austin!

...and in case you didn't catch the first part of the travel pack, here is a picture of the boarding pass invitations. :)

I Heart Etsy!

Tuesday, March 2, 2010

I'm sure anyone that knows me knows about my love for Etsy. ...but I have to tell you - if you don't already know - it has got to be one of the best sites ever! Seriously, I could spend hours perusing Etsy store fronts. There are so many creative, talented, and gifted people in this world and Etsy is proof. I just wanted to share some of my most recent Etsy purchases/ gifts to show you why I think its so great!

First of all, I have Shay at Dumplin Design Studio to thank for my amazing blog makeover. If you're in the market for a blog design, she definitely comes highly recommended. She's great at what she does and she's super quick! :)

Second, my husband bought me the coolest necklace ever for Valentines. It comes from the people over at Rock My World Inc. The front side is both mine and Jay's fingerprints. We used our wedding ring fingers to be extra mushy and sentimental. ...and then the back side has both of our initials. I just love this necklace because it has so much meaning!

Lastly, I just purchased these fortune cookie slippers for my friend's one-year-old daughter. I absolutely love these and am seriously contemplating getting a pair for myself. They seem SO comfortable!! These come from Sushi Booties. I really LOVE that they put the date of her first birthday on the shoes as "lucky numbers." So cute!

I will be posting my latest project very soon, but just thought I would share some other people's creative work in the meantime! ...and if you have never been on Etsy - go as fast as you can! ;-) ...and please take note that Social-o-logy has a store front that will hopefully be opening very soon!
